D'Lobe

D‘Lobe is an interactive art installation project with ”Synesthesia“ as the core concept, which is committed to exploring cross-sensory interactive experiences and technical applications. The work uses the Leap Motion gesture recognition sensor to capture the user’s real-time hand movements, and through the Processing platform to identify, analyze and generate real-time interactive plans, and then the Arduino control system drives the multi-way steering machine action, and finally The tactile feedback of the soft actuator.

Each gesture of the audience will trigger the corresponding steering movement, thus producing delicate and diverse tactile changes in the soft structure, so that the audience can experience the joint perception of ”seeing sound“ and ”touching color“. This way of human-computer interaction breaks through the boundaries of traditional sensory experience, prompting participants to think deeply about the relationship between technology and the body and senses.

The D‘Lobe project explores the future development potential of interactive art installations through interdisciplinary technical combination and design creativity, and creates a forward-looking and inspiring sensory experience space.
